Nemo Lip pmMarried at First Sight or Marred at First Sight?

WHAT’S YOUR REASON?

Married at first sight or “marred” at first sight!

Love it or loathe it, just about everyone is talking about Married at First Sight.

One of the words that has been used so often by the males, in the last couple of episodes, is “FAKE” whether it was about appearance, behaviour or any other reason.

More and more, “Reality” TV is so far from that, REALITY.

Which brings me to my point, it seems more and more women are over- enhancing their faces, bodies and personalities. In this case, it would appear it’s in an effort to attract men, yet it seems they’ve really lost touch with reality.

The 5 Top Beauty Tips the Beauty Industry Doesn’t
Want You To Think About >>LEARN MORE>>

If you think about it, as much as all the advertising for the Beauty Industry is attractive, in many cases it instills fear.

Ageing gracefully is wonderful but not if we feel we are inadequate if we look or show our age. I’m all for using skincare and make-up to care for my skin and look my best, but not to hide who I am or my age. As long as I feel good, that’s all that matters and that’s primarily what should matter to you.

So we need to get back to basics and get to the real reason as to why women feel it necessary to make all these changes.

If it really makes you feel good for yourself then that’s fabulous and go for it, but if you’re making all these enhancements to please others, you can save a lot of time, money and frustrations just by asking yourself a few questions.

Cyrell said it so well “ in all of this I’ve learnt to love myself” Well done Cyrell. Yes, we need to love ourselves to look, feel and live our best.

You need to love yourself for who you are and then some of these changes don’t seem to be as important.

It’s very true that some women feel they can’t face the world without their make-up on and this is okay, as long as deep down they aren’t feeling that they are not beautiful or acceptable without the covering.

What amazes me, is that society and the beauty industry is fixated on pushing every product and treatment possible in the pursuit of eternal youth. Yet looking at all these gorgeous young women, only in their early 20’s and 30’s, most look so much older! I don’t get it!

Looking back to Married at First Sight, the majority of the men have used the word fake, that they like their women to look natural and most men in general are not fazed by the make-up we wear and the amount of time we spend getting ready.

In fact, for the most part it drives them nuts. Especially when our make-up stains their clothes.

The old saying ‘Beauty comes from within’, is still as true today as ever. When you enjoy life, make the most of everything and keep fit and healthy, you’ll be amazed how good you’ll feel and how often people will comment on how great you look. I’ve researched this topic and asked hundreds of men what they find most attractive about women and the majority have said Confidence. Looks rarely came up.

People pick up on you as a person, not the enhancements you hide behind. The true you comes out, regardless of how you look on the outside.

I spend a lot of time with the elderly and their no care attitude to life is so infectious. They are so happy and don’t sweat the small stuff. Their diets and skin care routines are simple and they are happy.

Beautiful skin packIf the company you keep is making you feel you are not good enough or young enough, find new company. Hey, hang around older people! You’ll instantly realize how young you are!

My secret to looking and feeling young is surrounding myself with positive people, keeping fit, eating well, using simple, no fuss skincare, not smoking, doing exercise that I enjoy and look forward to doing and, most of all, walking around with my head held high and a smile on my face.

I guarantee you, you will attract so many people even without a scrap of make-up on. Try it and see how you go.

You don’t need to be part of the fake it or flake it world, where you constantly let yourself down because you think you don’t live up to the standard of others.

Love yourself, love your life and feel the difference.
